Henley-on-Thames Town Council Grants & Support
Henley-on-Thames is a vibrant town thanks to the hard work of its many local organisations.
The Town Council recognises how important these groups are to improving and enriching our community, and is committed to supporting their work through awarding grants, offering loans, and providing free use of Town Council facilities.
Here are some of the organisations we’ve been pleased to support:
Henley Women’s Regatta; Regatta for the Disabled; Henley Town & Visitors Regatta; Berkshire MS Therapy Centre; Henley Citizens' Advice Bureau; Henley Rugby Club; Be Free Young Carers; Henley Cricket Club; Riverside Counselling; Greener Henley; Walkers Are Welcome; South Oxfordshire Mencap Society; Henley Youth Festival; Oxfordshire Volunteer Befriending Network; Headway Thames Valley; NOMAD; Bluebells Day Centre; River & Rowing Museum; Henley Music School.
Henley-on-Thames Town Council is able to offer various grants, loans and venues available for free use.
We have two grant schemes:
Grants up to £2,500, including free use of facilities - The annual deadline for applications is 15 August and 15 February
Grants over £2,500 - annual deadline 1 November

There is a NEW addition of a Bloom Community Grant for small horticultural and environmental projects that will enhance the street scene and public spaces around Henley, improve biodiversity and bring the community together - a maximum of £1,500 is to be awarded this year with individual applications up to £300. Henley-on-Thames has a growing number of retail, creative, financial and professional service businesses. There are 2,600 businesses operating in and around Henley, including international businesses and SMEs. The biggest employers in the town are world renowned organisations such as: Invesco, Bremont, Johnson Matthey, Stuart Turner and the Leander Club - the most prestigious and successful rowing club in the world.
The artistic tradition of the town has given rise to a fantastic array of festivals that run throughout the year. Newtown Business Park is the major business area in
Henley and has a variety of business premises. Regus and Chiltern House Business Centre, both offer high quality serviced offices and meeting facilities. Henley has a mixed retail offer from exclusive and specialist independents to high street brands.
Henley-on-Thames is a busy and thriving market town, and its businesses are essential for the local economy and providing employment, wellbeing, hospitality, retail, and tourism.
