Henley-on-Thames Town Council Services
Henley-on-Thames Town Council provides a range of services for the benefit of local residents and visitors. These parks and open spaces, events, visitor information, markets, allotments, sport facilities, grant funding, a cemetery, bus service, venue hire, moorings, and car parks.
There are two allotment sites in Henley, Watermans Allotments and Greencroft Allotments, which are owned by Henley Town Council and run by the Henley-on-Thames Allotments Association on behalf of the Council.
Just on the edge of Henley, where it meets the beautiful Chiltern hills, is the Fairmile Cemetery, which has provided a tranquil and picturesque place of remembrance since 1868.

Freeman's Meadow
A recreational area located next to The Fairmile that includes a children's playground.
Makins Recreation Ground
A recreation ground located on Greys Road just above the Scout Hut. It includes a childrens play area, a concrete multi-wheeled facility (skateboard park) and outdoor gym equipment.
Mill & Marsh Meadows
A large riverside recreational area that includes a fantastic new toddler play area as well as an older childrens' adventure playground, public toilets and acres of open space. There is also a wildlife walk, and the riverside towpath to Marsh Lock.
Gillotts Field
Henley Town Council purchased Gillotts Field in the early 1990s for public recreation and has subsequently been registered as a Town Green.
Our Information Centre is a one-stop shop for visitors wanting to find out more about what to do in the local area, and residents wanting information and support for accessing local services and information.
Henley-on-Thames Town Council has developed a new Local Directory. The Directory provides information and links to websites of a range of local venues, organisations and other useful contacts if you are visiting or live in Henley.

The Charter Market
This takes place every Thursday
The Farmers Market
This takes place on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Thursday of the month 8am-1.30pm.
The Craft Market
This takes place on the 4th Sunday of the month from 10am-3pm.
A boat trip down the Thames would be incomplete without a stay in historic and picturesque Henley-on -Thames at our visitor moorings.
The moorings are close to the town centre in the wonderful setting of Mill Meadows, complete with parking, playgrounds, fairground rides, a café, toilets, and much more.
