Henley is host to a variety of regular Annual Events
There's a wealth of events that go in on Henley every year in addition to the world-famous Regatta.
Henley Literary Festival is established as one of the UK’s biggest book festivals.
The 2019 festival was our biggest yet with 170 events for adults and children. The line-up included former Prime Minister Theresa May, comedian Paul Merton, cookery legend Mary Berry, England’s greatest batsman Sir Alastair Cook and best-selling authors Jojo Moyes and David Nicholls. Our stellar line-up extended to our fantastic programme for schools and children which included Michael Rosen, Onjali Q. Rauf, Chris Riddell, Konnie Huq and McFly’s Dougie Poynter.
The Henley Christmas Festival – covering attractions for a magical evening across various locations throughout Henley.
A chance to do some Christmas shopping, as well as sample the delights of mulled wine, mince pies, street food, arts and crafts and so much more.

Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world. It is a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and the social season. The Regatta attracts thousands of visitors over a five-day period. Spectators are thrilled by over 300 races of an international standard, which can include Olympic rowers as well as crews new to the event.
But Henley also hosts The Henley Festival, Traditional Boat Rally and REWIND alongside a host of smaller events.
Henley in Bloom is a sub-committee of the Henley-on-Thames Town Council’s Recreation and Amenities Committee. Henley in Bloom is funded by a combination of Town Council funding and sponsorship. Our Committee is made up of Town Councillors, Gardening Buddies and representatives of other community groups.
We work alongside resident and community groups, including the Allotments Association, Henley in Transition and Henley Wildlife Group, to help maintain a beautiful and sustainable town and create new events and features for residents and tourists to enjoy for years to come.
From working with local schools and businesses to holding competitions and community planting schemes, our work covers the whole town and is inclusive to anyone with an interest in keeping Henley clean, welcoming and attractive.
