October 17, 2025

The Town Mayor, Councillor Tom Buckley, is inviting all local primary school children to get creative this festive season by taking part in the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition 2025.

This much-loved annual competition gives young artists the chance to design the Mayor’s official Christmas card, which will be sent to community groups, dignitaries, and local organisations throughout Henley and beyond.

This year’s theme is “A Victorian Christmas in Henley”, celebrating the town’s rich heritage and festive spirit. The Mayor is looking forward to seeing the imaginative designs inspired by this traditional theme.

The winning design will be professionally printed, thanks to the generous support of Higgs Printing, and used as the Mayor’s official Christmas card. The winner will also be invited to join Councillor Buckley to switch on the Christmas lights and attend a special celebrity reception at the Town Hall on Friday 28th November.

In addition, the winner will receive a family ticket to this year’s pantomime, Peter Pan, at the Kenton Theatre, along with a Kenton goody bag kindly donated by the theatre.
