Henley residents are being invited to showcase their gardening skills as the Bloom Front Garden Competition returns for 2026.

Whether you have a colourful cottage garden, a contemporary planting scheme, a wildlife-friendly haven or simply a front garden you’re proud of, we’d love you to take part.

The competition celebrates the contribution that residents make to the beauty and character of our town, recognising the creativity, care and community spirit that can be found on streets across Henley.

This year’s competition is open to all town residents, with entrants able to enter one or more categories. Taking part is simple: just complete the online entry form and our judges will visit eligible gardens during the judging period of week of 13th July.

Sheridan Jacklin-Edward, Town Clerk said “One of the things people love most about Bloom is seeing the pride that residents take in their homes and neighbourhoods. The Front Garden Competition is a wonderful way to celebrate that effort, creativity and community spirit. We hope people will enjoy taking part and being inspired by the fantastic gardens around them.”

Why enter?

Taking part is a fantastic way to celebrate your hard work, inspire others and help make Henley an even more attractive place to live and visit.

Whether you’ve spent years perfecting your planting or have recently transformed your front garden, every entry helps showcase the pride our community takes in its local environment.

How to enter

Entering couldn’t be easier:

  • Complete the online entry form; HERE
  • Select the category or categories you’d like to enter.
  • Sit back and let our judges do the rest.

Winners to be celebrated

We’re delighted to be working with the Henley Standard as our media partner for this year’s competition.

The winners will be announced in a special Bloom feature in the Henley Standard, celebrating the outstanding gardens and the residents behind them.

We can’t wait to see the fantastic displays that will brighten our streets this summer. Good luck to everyone taking part!
