Why do we ask for this information?


Welcome to the page that gives you up to date details of the events being held by Henley Town Council and links to forms and other information that you may wish to download.  There will be opportunities for retailers, charities and the public to really get into the Christmas spirit!

This Year Henley Town Council is supporting the Mayor's charities by raffling three 'Henley Hampers'. For more information please click here.   


Tuesday 1 - Wednesday 24 December

The Living Advent Calendar  6.15pm, every evening

This event turns Henley town centre into a living advent calendar, bringing together local businesses and performers each evening throughout the advent period. www.livingadventcalendar.co.uk

Friday 4 December

Henley Christmas Festival  5 - 9pm

This is an annual magical event with a Christmas Market, Fairground rides, Carol singing around the tree, Santa’s Grotto and the Switching-on of the lights on the large Christmas tree. All local retailers are encouraged to stay open late. The event is organised by Henley Town Council.

Sunday 6 December

Henley’s High Street Hootenanny 11am - 4pm

From Reading Road to Riverside, many of those shops usually closed on Sundays will be joining those who already do Sunday opening for a day of special offers, family fun, pop-up performances – and there are rumours that Santa himself will be paying a visit to all good shopkeepers! www.visit-henley.com

Sunday 6 December

Santa’s Fun Run  10am

Henley’s Annual Santa Fundraising Fun Run is suitable for all ages and abilities.  The route is two miles long and starts and finishes at the River and Rowing Museum.  All entrants receive a free Santa Hat and hot refreshments. To enter visit www.santaontherun.co.uk

Wednesday 16 December

Candlelight Christmas Celebration 7.30pm

Readings, poetry and carol singing in St Mary's Church.  Tickets: £5 adults, Children free.

Tickets available in advance from the Town Hall or on the door. 



Saturday 2 January & Saturday 9 January

Christmas Tree Shredding  10am – noon

A Recycling Initiative by Henley Town Council Parks Services in partnership with Henley in Bloom. Mill Meadows Car Park, Meadow Road, Henley, RG9 1BE.  £2 per tree.
