Green Homes Grant

Up to £5,000 for home improvements is available from the end of September 2020 to Henley homeowners and landlords through the government’s Green Homes Grant. Work must be completed by 31 March 2021. To receive a grant you must apply for vouchers of two thirds of your eligible costs, up to a maximum of £5,000.

Improvements could include insulating your home to reduce your energy use or installing low-carbon heating to lower the amount of carbon dioxide your home produces. For example, cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, a ground source heat pump or a biomass boiler.  Work to property in the Conservation Area of Henley-on-Thames will require planning permission for some types of improvement.  You can check whether your home improvement requires planning permission at the Planning Portal Interactive House

The government website with further details is now live and applications are expected to open on 1st October.

Henley Town Council’s Climate Emergency Working Group is pleased to provide advice and support to residents interested in applying for grants. Email the Projects Officer f.hewer@henleytowncouncil.gov.uk.

You can also find the Climate Emergency Working Group on facebook and twitter.
