Assistant Park Warden

Full-time including some weekend work

Salary SCP 12 - £16,123

Henley-on-Thames Town Council is recruiting for an Assistant Park Warden.
The role involves working and supporting colleagues in the Parks Service.
A varied and interesting role including:-  horticulture, arboriculture and green space management etc. 

Applicants should be physically fit, hold a current driving licence and have achieved a good standard of education.  Full training will be given.

Park Warden (Conservation)

Full-time including some weekend work

Salary SCP 18 – 34   (£18,070 – £30,153)

The Town Council is currently recruiting for a dynamic and motivated person to undertake the role of Park Warden (Conservation) within its Parks Service.

The successful application will be a key person in the management of Henley’s wildlife conservation, as well as playing an active role in all the Town Council’s Parks and green spaces.

Applicants should have experience/qualification in a similar role.

 Additional training will be given in specific areas.

CEMETERY WARDEN up to 20hrs per week

at the Fairmile Cemetery, Henley on Thames
Starting salary c £11,000 pro rata

We are looking for a special person to help us maintain and care for the beautiful Fairmile Cemetery.  

The main tasks will include: general tidying of cemetery; preparation of the chapel; assisting the Parks Team with grass cutting and pruning; plus a wide range of other care-taker type services.

This position will suit an organised and methodical person who is willing to address all aspects of health and safety in the cemetery – including an awareness of safe working practice in a public space. The successful candidate will have an empathy and understanding of the emotions experienced by bereaved families.

Closing date:  Thursday 13th April, interviews week commencing Tuesday 18th April, with a view to starting as soon as possible.
